Cinquanta sfumature di... Gwendoline! (Auguri a tutte le Donne!) / Fifty shades of ... Gwendoline! (Happy Women's Day!)

Io ho dovuto scaricarlo trovandolo in versione integrale...

I admit that it's a somewhat provocative, much to reassert the notion that in the world there are erotic films (with riding crops allowed) better than "Fifty shades of ...".
However, on the occasion of international women's day I wanted to pull off a character that I discovered recently and that nothing can envy characters like Wonder Woman: Gwendoline. Gwendoline is a character born from the pencil of John Willie in 1946.
The comic book titled The Adventures of Sweet Gwendoline tells the story of a maid who is constantly linked. To save her, the secret agent U69 which in turn the League for good.
Gwendoline joined the imagery of sexual culture called BDSM (* cough cough * Anastasia get * cough cough *) and inspired the German photographer Herbert W. Hesselmann to create a series of photographs by dressing his models as Gwendoline and U69.

I haven't read the comics, but I can speak of the 1984 French film of which is entitled, in fact, Gwendoline (also issued as The Peril of Gwendoline) and directed by Just Jaeckin
The plot he says good Wikipedia Italy:

Gwendoline, a young and naïve girl ran away from a boarding school run by nuns, along with his friend Beth leaves for Asia in search of his father entomologist, mysteriously disappeared in the course of researching a rare butterfly. The two girls, accompanied by handsome adventurer Willard, come to the underground city of Yik-Yak, the undisputed realm of a cruel Queen who commands a company of women-insect and women-Warrior, the model of structured api. While Willard is lusted after by the Queen, who plans to kill him after that match with the winner of a fight between female Gladiators, Gwendoline and Beth go through a tough apprenticeship made of tests and erotic torture.

The film is a good mix between adventure and eroticism and in my opinion it is a pity that it has not become a cult like Big trouble in little China.
True, the film has its flaws, but it comfortably and not surprisingly I mention "Big trouble" because, besides the fact that both released the same year, the beginning of the movie reminded me very much the scene of that movie and the adventure is ironic in the proper place (shame about the beats that leave on time that is...).
Unfortunately I do not know if you find around the DVD in Italian and if you find it you could incepparvi with the cropped version. I had to download it finding it in full ... Needless to say that it is a movie for people who has made more than 14 years!

What's admire by Gwendoline in homage her?
Bearing in mind the film version, simply because, in addition to its beauty, it is a girl Yes naïve, but that becomes bold when his love is in danger.
Obviously his courage is also naive, but she cares and risked his life for love!
Without superpowers but only with the strength of her feeling!

So, Happy Women's day (those with a capital W)
